Pierre can also paint, when required, from colored photographs for a variety of reasons:

::Small Children:: Photos are usually needed for small children because they cannot sit still for the duration of a painting. See examples below.

::Favorite Photo:: Photos can also be used for children older than 10 years in the case of having a favorite photograph, such as were used for the portraits below.

::Favorite Animal:: Should you want a person with an animal, or an animal by itself, a photograph is mandatory.

::Special Event or Past Photo:: Some people regret not having a portrait done of themselves at a young age. If they have a colored photo of that time, Pierre can paint a portrait from the photograph. This could also be true for a special event such as a wedding.

::Ancestral Portraits:: If someone would like to have a portrait of his/her ancestors, Pierre can do a portrait from a photograph, even if the photo is only in black and white. See examples below of black & white photos painted in color.

::Family with Children:: If you would like to have a painting of a family with adults as well as children under 10 years, a photograph is necessary.
