The fulfillment of end-time prophecies was interrupted due to the absence of the State of Israel for over 2000 years. In fact all related prophecies namely the Rapture, the Tribulation, and Jesus’ Second Coming couldn’t be fulfilled without having Israel,which is God’s land, shown on this world Map.

Miraculously, the rebirth of the State of Israel happened on May 1948. With that official declaration all end time prophecies began to be fulfilled.

All disasters happening during our time have been predicted in Matthew 24:1-31. Their increase in numbers and intensity clearly announces our imminent entrance into the 7 years tribulation. It is during these horrific 7 years that one third of the world population will perish through nuclear wars, incurable epidemics, fatal earthquakes and a global genocide of all who refuse to receive the devil's sign by the antichrist.

Therefore, our topic will focus on Matthew 24:32-35 where it is confirmed that we are the chosen generation which will be raptured just before the tribulation.

Before we start studying verses 32-35 please note that the State of Israel is always symbolized in the Bible by the “Fig tree”. Also, consider that the above declared disasters in verses 1 to 33 are referred to as “These things”.

Here are the four verses written in Matthew 24:32-35

32 - Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near.
EXPLANATION: This is what happened in 1948 at the rebirth of the State of Israel. It is the sign that Jesus is near and His followers will soon meet Him in the cloud and remain with Him for ever. With respect to unbelievers it is rather a warning and a wake up call for them to repent. Otherwise, they will go through the stressful 7 years tribulation.

33 - Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it is near, right at the door.
EXPLANATION: This verse confirms the previous verse. In fact, when Jesus’ faithful will see all these catastrophes increasing in numbers and intensifying they must rejoice because their salvation is near. However, non believers should know that they will go through the 7 years tribulation unless they repent and believe in Jesus as Lord and Savior.

34 - Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.
EXPLANATION: This generation has started at the rebirth of the State of Israel in 1948 and will continue until it ends. All we know so far is that 73 years have already passed since 1948, therefore, the remaining time for this generation is limited to few years. During which Jesus’ followers will be raptured and unbelievers who refuse to repent will continue to live through the 7 years tribulation.

35 - Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
EXPLANATION: This powerful testimony confirms that all what Jesus’ predicted in the previous verses 32 to 34 will happen without any doubt. Meaning that Jesu’s followers will soon be raptured and stubborn unbelievers will endure God’s wrath during the 7 years tribulation.

That said, we are all blessed to be part of this end time generation because those who love Jesus will be soon raptured to be with Him for ever and those who never though about Jesus will have an opportunity to discover Him and return to the only God and Savior. However, sadly for those who refuse to recognize that Jesus is Lord, they will be judged at the very end of this world and thrown together with Satan into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
